Privacy Policy

Information you provide

• Phone number — used to send and receive SMS messages through the Service
• Account information — if you sign in via Discord, we receive your Discord username, email, and avatar from Discord's OAuth flow
• Messages — the text messages you send to and receive from AI characters
• Preferences — character selections, schedule settings, and personalization data you provide during onboarding

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns
• Device information — browser type, operating system, and screen size
• Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Send and receive SMS messages between you and your AI characters
• Personalize your experience, including character memory and conversation context
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional communications (e.g., account verification, billing receipts)
• Detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical issues

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Messages you send are processed by third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI) to generate responses. Your messages are sent to these providers as needed to operate the Service.

We retain conversation history to maintain character memory and continuity across sessions. You can request deletion of your conversation history at any time by contacting us.

For anonymous web chat sessions (no account), conversation history is stored in server memory and automatically expires after 1 hour.

We use the following third-party services:

• Twilio — for sending and receiving SMS messages
• OpenAI — for generating AI character responses
• Stripe — for payment processing (we do not store your card details)
• Discord — for account authentication via OAuth
• Google Analytics — for usage analytics

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Anonymous web chat data (no account) is stored in server memory only and expires automatically after 1 hour.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to or restrict processing of your information
• Export your data in a portable format

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and secure storage practices. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
